Myofascial Release (MFR) Therapy is a hands-on bodywork technique that uses sustained pressure to release tightness in the fascia (the connective tissue around the organs, arteries, and veins) to relieve chronic pain, improve mobility, and restore proper functioning of the body. It is a gentle, full body technique where sustained pressure is applied directly on dry skin. You may feel the releasing of restrictions in the fascia or connective tissue as pressure, heat, a sense of melting, or stretching to the targeted are of focus. You may also notice other areas of the body beginning to feel these effects throughout the session. It is recommended to wear a sports bra and shorts.  Session includes: - 20, 50, or 80-minutes of hands-on, therapeutic massage therapy as you would experience in the clinical setting - Integrated techniques such as dynamic stretch, Shiatsu trigger point, deep tissue, relaxing Swedish effleurage, and myofascial release. Use of hot towel and range in pressure from medium to firm. - Integrated enhancements such as Gua Sha or “muscle scraping”, cupping therapy, Kinesiology Taping (K-Tape), or percussion gun (Theragun) *A free 10-15 minute consultation is required for this service.
